Professor Martin Renilson has 30 years experience in Naval Architecture. The company can conduct physical model testing and computational fluid dynamics as appropriate to solve various problems. It also has a range of analytical tools. Some of RMC’s recent projects include:
- Preparation of the report Reducing Underwater Noise Pollution from Large Commercial Vessels, for the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
- Model basin testing for a single buoy mooring system in various wind and wave conditions for Bluescope Steel.
- Manoeuvring of a ship alongside a wharf including the use of scaled manned model testing in a lake for Rio Tinto.
- Investigation of a wide range of hydrodynamic aspects of ship handling tugs, their interaction with ships in confined waters, and their use to manoeuvre ships.
